　見守る保育を開始してから、給食の配膳のやり方も少々変わりました。自分が食べられる量が分かるようになるために、食事を配ってくれるお当番さんや先生に「このくらい」と欲しい量を申告して盛ってもらいます。　　やり始めた頃は、「これでは子どもが好きな物はたくさん、苦手な物は少ししか食べないのでは…」と心配しました。けれど、サンプルを置いておき、このくらい食べて欲しいと見せたり、配ってくれる先生の言葉がけによって、慣れてきた今では、そんなに極端に量が多かったり少なかったりする子はいません。　　年度始めの今は、まだ以上児になりたての年少児は苦手な物は少しだけという姿が見られますが、園の給食や色々な食材に慣れてくれば、きっとこれからどんどん食べられるようになるでしょう。どの年齢の子にも言えることですが、屋外やプールで遊んだり、運動会の練習を始める夏の終わりからから秋にかけて、食べられる量が増えてきます。
